Kangana Ranaut was 17 years old when she started working in Hindi movies and her first film Gangster was released way back in 2006. It is hard to believe that 14 long years have already gone by. Time does fly too quickly.
Kangana became an instant star when the film got released. Her potryal of the role the she was given was nothing short of amazing. She is one of the few actors of Bollywood who made it on their own even after facing a lot of troubles.
Now she has revealed that even after winning the best actress award for Gangster in 2006, she wasn’t able to go to Singapore to collect the award. Why is that so? She tells it all…
“I had no idea that I was nominated. When the team was leaving for the event, they asked me about my travel plans. I had no idea how to go to Singapore, where to stay, and I was too embarrassed to even ask my crew about ticket prices. So I missed that opportunity. When I won, Bobby Singh DOP of Gangster and Queen who is sadly no more, called and said he is getting my trophy. I was thrilled and it’s one of my fondest memories,” says Kangana.
Kangana will be next seen in the movie, Tejas, where she will be seen playing the role of air force pilot.
