I seriously can’t believe it when I go to a movie theatre to watch a film starring Saif Ali Khan. Yes, I admit that. Why is that so? Well, that is because of the quality of films he used to work in at the earlier stages of his career and the way he used to act.
But now everything has changed. Still, that image is somewhere in my mind and no matter how much I try, it doesn’t go away. I enjoy his TV series like Sacred Games and movies like Omkara, Tanhaji and Jawaani Jaaneman. Yes, I liked that too.
If you ask me which is my favourite all-time movie of Saif is, then my quick reply will be Hum Tum. That movie… I love it and have seen it a number of times.
Now coming back to the story (I got carried away literally this time haha). Saif Ali Khan’s son shared a post of his social account and wrote, “Me and my old man.” Now, this is what seems to have irked Saif.
Saif gave an interview to Mumbai Mirror. Here is what they asked and his response to the question.
Recently, your son Ibrahim Ali Khan posted a picture with you and captioned it: Me and my old man. Instantly, your fans took umbrage because they thought he was calling you a ‘buddha’, when ‘old man’ is actually a phrase for father…
Yeah, it was quite funny. Being older doesn’t bother me and the fact is that I am Ibrahim’s old man. But I’m keen to be fit and look my best. I’m not going to be looking like an old man for a while, but I understand the irony of it.
That was actually a good response. Age is just a number and nothing else.
