Do you know that there is a list called simply as the Black List in Hollywood where they have a long list of most-liked scripts for movies that still haven’t been transformed into cinema movies. Movies like Slumdog Millionaire, Juno, and Argo, were once in this very list.
If you talk about Bollywood, and if there was one such list as the Black List of Hollywood, then the foremost script will be that of Saare Jahaan Se Achcha. It is said that the story is actually quite good but the actors who have been approached for this story have always turned it down due to some or the other reason.
News if coming out that Siddharth Roy Kapur, who has the rights to the script, has finally contacted Salman Khan for this movie (script). As the film has been planned as a huge and costly project so the makers want to rope in Salman as they think that he is the one who is most suited for this role.
Do you know that the same script was offered to actors like Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Vicky Kaushal, and Ranbir Kapoor. But all of then left it. Why? Only they know.
It is also being reported that Salman has listened to the concept of the film and has liked it a lot but still hasn’t said yes for it.
What is Saare Jahaan Se Achcha about? Well, it is based on the life story of none other than Rakesh Sharma who is the first-ever Indian Astronaut who went to space and interestingly is the only Indian citizen to date to travel to outer space.
When Rakesh was asked by the then Prime Minister of India, Mrs. Indira Gandhi, about how India looked from there, he said proudly, Saare Jahaan Se Achcha.
The film, if it’s made, will be directed by Mahesh Mathai.
A source close to the whole project says that there is nothing like that as reported in the press that the movie will not be made or it has been jinxed and the actors have left it because there is some problem with the screenplay etc. The actors left because of some other reasons.
I personally have doubts about this film in particular. It will be extremely difficult for the makers to create such a massive film. I mean the VFX, outer space, and other related things. Until and unless the whole team of technicians, and also the director and the actors, are extremely talented the movie will not be any good.
Take, for example, Gravity, a Hollywood film. Can you even imagine something like that being made in India? It is very difficult and I just don’t know how will they create something as convincing like that.
Anyways let’s wait and watch. Time will tell…
